Bite-sized Friday: Responsible Marketing Lite

For a change of pace, I thought I’d share a few bite-sized Responsible Marketing-related things I’ve come across this week.

  • Causes Reports On Its First Year – $2.5 Million For 20,000 Charities And NonProfits. An interesting Facebook application that makes it easy for individuals to donate to non-profits. From TechCrunch.
  • List of songs deemed inappropriate by Clear Channel following the September 11, 2001 attacks. Fascinating article that reminds us that responsibility is contextual. Shared by Deston Nokes.
  • Four articles from the JediMom blog regarding Marketing to Kids. Topics include: “Latino Kids Are Prey for Junk Food Marketers,” “Webkinz Stirs up Controversy with Movie Ads,” “Kids’ TV Coming to a Shopping Cart Near You,” and “Schools, Parents Blind to McDonald’s Marketing Machine.”
  • Barack Obama has reminded us how moving a great orator can be. Here’s a stirring video from Robert F. Kennedy regarding the gross national product (trust me, it’s riveting):
  • Okay, now go out and add a little shizzle to your razmatazz—but do it responsibly.

So, do you like “Bite-Size Friday?”

Would you like to see something like this weekly? Monthly? Never again?
